Axial Lead Resistors
Most standard resistors are commonly produced in an axial lead resistor style. The leads extend out horizontally from the body of the part. These parts are used in thru-hole PCB designs. The leads of this mounting design are bent down for insertion. Since the parts are received from the factory without any bends, it offers the end user the option to bend and mount per their application.
